This is just a short message to say I think I’ll probably have a lot fewer short stories published for the rest of this year and probably into the next mostly because I’m submitting a lot less to places at the moment.

The reason for that is I want to focus more on submitting a couple of books I’ve written to various places and seeing if I can find success somewhere. The process of just getting a book to where I think it can be considered by anyone has been incredibly time-consuming, leaving no time for me to do anything but sometimes submit a short story I’ve already worked on to a place if I think it might be a really good fit.

The more I’ve learned about getting published, the more overhwelming it feels, but I think if I devote more time/energy to it, then hopefully I’ll see some positive results in the near future.

Who knows – Maybe I’ll have a burst of creativity one day that will force me to sit down and churn out more short stories, but at the moment, I’m incredibly focused on, and incredibly hopeful about, these books.
